What licenses does a food business need in Pakistan?
Quick answer
A food business typically needs a licence from its provincial food authority — for example the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) or Sindh Food Authority (SFA) — covering hygiene and food-safety standards, alongside an FBR NTN and, often, sales-tax registration. Food exporters additionally need PSQCA standards compliance and halal certification for many markets. Requirements vary by province and food type, so check your local authority's rules.
